Itinerary

1
Day 1: Las Vegas to Zion National Park

Welcome to Nevada! Your nature-filled glamping adventure begins in Las Vegas – the capital of glitz and glam in the heart of the desert. It’s heavily recommended that you stay an extra day or two before your trip to explore all that Sin City has to offer. Start today with a welcome meeting at 8 am sharp, followed by a drive to Zion National Park. When you arrive, head out to explore Zion Canyon with your leader, taking in the views of the surrounding red cliffs and the famous Angel's Landing. Your leader will then choose a hike based on the group’s ability and interests – maybe the Watchman Trail or the Emerald Pools. Along the way, enjoy a picnic lunch and head to your glamping resort for a unique Feature Stay experience. You’ll spend the next few nights in your western-style wagons that feature private bathrooms, comfortable beds and a fire pit. Tonight, maybe rejoin your group for an optional welcome dinner.

Included Activities:

  • Zion National Park - Leader-led hike

Accommodation:

  • Zion White Bison Resort - Glamping Tent (with private facilities) (Number of Nights: 1)

2
Day 2: Bryce Canyon National Park / Zion

After breakfast, head to Bryce Canyon National Park for the day. After a scenic drive through Utah’s red rock country (with multiple stops at overlooks for good views and good photos), you’ll reach an elevation of 8000 ft (just over 2400 m) marking your entrance into the park. From here, you’ll spend the morning hiking on trails chosen by your leader, maybe with a stroll along the canyon rim to marvel at the unique sandstone spires (known as hoodoos) that rise dramatically from the natural amphitheatre. Stop for a picnic lunch with your group among the hoodoos and spires and take in the incredible alien-like landscape. Later, enjoy an included dinner back near Zion.

Included Activities:

  • Bryce Canyon - Leader-led Walk

Accommodation:

  • Zion White Bison Resort - Glamping Tent (with private facilities) (Number of Nights: 1)

3
Day 3: Antelope Canyon / Zion

This morning after breakfast, head to Page where you’ll join a local Navajo guide for an adventure through Lower Antelope Canyon – famous for its wave-like structure and the distinct light beams that shine down into the canyon’s openings, creating a supernatural, magical appearance. There are fewer crowds here than in the upper part of the canyon (because you’ll have to go up and down a ladder – but don’t worry, this isn’t too strenuous), making the experience that much more special. After, take a short hike out to Horseshoe Bend and enjoy a picnic lunch with an unforgettable view over the Colorado River. Return to Zion and fill up a free afternoon with more exploring!

Included Activities:

  • Horseshoe Bend Visit
  • Page - Antelope Canyon Tour with round-trip transport

Accommodation:

  • Zion White Bison Resort - Glamping Tent (with private facilities) (Number of Nights: 1)

4
Day 4: Snow Canyon State Park / Las Vegas

After breakfast, you’ll check out of your glamping tents – but don’t fret, the adventure isn't over yet. Before heading back to Vegas, you’ll do some easy hiking at Snow Canyon State Park – a scenic park often underrated by tourists but no less spectacular than Zion. Plenty of Western movies have been filmed here – think Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid, High School Musical 2 and The Flintstones. Sit down among the towering cliffs and red rocks for a final picnic lunch with your group, then drive back to Vegas, where your trip comes to an end. If you need extra accommodation, just speak to your booking agent.

Included Activities:

  • Snow Canyon State Park

This trip was so much fun. We had a good group who got along very well. Our leader Claire was amazing and her enthusiasm especially towards wildlife encounters ( tortoises, desert longhorn sheep) was infectious. Great knowledge of the region, geology, and just fun to be around!

This trip is fantastic and the pace of travel was just right for me. The group size was good and the places visited were incredible and our guide Brad was amazing, going above and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly. I would highly recommend this trip. Accommodation was excellent and clean. I’ve never done glamping before but was highly impressed. I think the transport could be slightly bigger to accommodate the number of people but appreciate this may have an impact on carbon footprint.

I absolutely loved the glamping experience! Bradley, our leader, brought the energy every day and provided so much knowledge about the area. The group was so fun, it was sad leaving everyone on the last day. It was definitely an experience I will never forget.

Fantastic trip, end-to-end. We went on the Zion Glamping Trip and the campground was fantastic, the hikes were awesome, and our guide was enthusiastic, a veritable encyclopedia on the history, nature, birds, animals, and area making the trip an overall five-star experience. I had fun, met incredible people from around the world, enjoyed the most beautiful parts of our country, and learned about nature, our history, and the parks.

This trip was spectacular. Not particularly physically challenging, but a satisfying stretch of the legs. Superb scenery, outstanding guide (Brad), great accommodation and food. We will treasure these memories forever. Our teenagers loved it too, and enjoyed interacting with other adults in the group. Don’t be put off by the travel times - Brad made them very fun, informative and manageable.

We did the Zion Glamping Adventure. Our leader Travis was awesome. He took us to many fabulous places for hiking and site seeing. We loved the Covered Wagons for sleeping. They were adorable and the beds were awesome. Transporting us in the large van made it spacious and comfortable for traveling. I would highly recommend this trip. I am 60 yrs old and not your top notch in physical condition and I did fine with all the hikes. The fresh air, scenery and great people filled my soul.

The Zion glamping adventure was fantastic! A perfect combination of moderate walking, time to think and reset, great food, lovely accommodations and so much more! If you are needing to disconnect from the concrete jungle - this trip is a great reminder of the amazing work of Mother Nature!

Zion Glamping is a "must do" adventure, not only for the amazing scenery in Zion NP and Bryce Canyon, but the trails are awesome and the Wagon accomodation is very comfortable and a unique place to stay. A very memorable experience with a small group and highly recommended!

This was my first trip with Intrepid and of this kind as a solo traveler but what a great first trip! The duration was perfect. We covered so much but it never felt too rushed. The accommodations in the wagon wheels are so fun that give it an authentic feel but still having A/C and private bathroom facilities. It was the perfect mix or leisure and challenge!
