Experience Overview
Set out on an all-encompassing adventure of the Baltic capitals—journeying from Warsaw to Riga and on to Tallinn. Join a Local Expert in the Polish capital for an insider’s take on the city’s sights before hopping the Lithuanian border to Vilnius. After exploring the Old Town and the Gates of Dawn, the Gothic Trakai Castle beckons—an island fortress and architectural masterpiece on Lake Galve, that can only be accessed by wooden footbridge. Get to grips with Latvia as you barter with local stallholders at Riga’s Central Market—located in the massive aircraft hangers that once housed Zeppelins. Across the border in Tallinn, take your pick with the Insight Choice of a town hall square walking tour or a stroll through the Old Town to discover Estonian artisans.

Warsaw and the Baltic states customer service prior to leaving was a lot to be desired. Due to the fact of not finalising this tour until it was nearly too late we were in fact to the point of me ringing her to book a very similar tour with another company when she and I looked once again to see if it was a definite departure before proceeding which luckily we had and it had only just been ticked. Which made it quite frustrating. This then had a follow on effect of trying to make flight arrangements along with availability of seats on the required flights extremely difficult so difficult that once again we were on the verge of canceling except that we are very fortunate to have an excellent travel agent. So for that part I rate you a 1 STAR. As far as the customer service from our tour director Maja Poljansek was fantastic she was and deserves a 5 STAR Read less Trip Rating 5 litinary was fabulous the hotels and their locations were in the very best

They need to tell people when tours are a definite departure earlier. Also the Gold Seal protection insurance covers multiple tours when booked together. However if you need to cancel a tour you lose your Gold Seal insurance on the remaining tour/s. Would give 5 stars if they had an extra night in Riga, Latvia.

Insight always does a great job making their customers feel important. Their tour director is knowledgeable and caring. The time spent in each location gives you time to see the sights but also have time on your own to explore.

Certainly would recommend Insight to others. Excellent service and guide Chad and driver. Chads knowledge and presentation was excellent, and conveyed to us the culture and people of each Country we visited. Excellent itinerary but I would have liked one more day in Riga and one more day in. Tallinn, I felt these pis was a little too rushed. I actually paid and stayed an. Each day in Tallin. And needed this day to see all and get a better feel for the City.

Insight Vacations is my preferred travel group. Hotels are centrally located and customer service is excellent. Our tour guide, Alex Golovko, was the best tour manager I have ever had on any trip. He worked tirelessly to ensure everyone was having a good time and that their needs were met. The itinerary was perfectly suited for a short trip lasting a week. Many people wish they had more time in one city or another, but there isn't enough time for extended stays. Another type of tour might best be suited for longer stays in each city. Others didn't like paying for "optionals". But optionals are great. If a traveler has no interest in a side trip, or cultural dinner, they do not have to spend the money up front in the cost of the tour. The traveler has a choice. Some people are natural complainers and will complain about everything. I try to avoid those people. This trip was wonderful and I have recommended it to others.

Whole experience was wonderful, from Joey the tour director who was super organized to the seasoned travelers to the sites. Tour at times felt short roughly a day and a half in each city, but there was enough free time built in where one could do things on their own.

Overall organization and attention to detail. More time in Riga, less time in Warsaw as part of the itinerary. For those wishing more time in Warsaw provide optional early arrival options, e.g Saltmines
