I think that on Sunday the itinerary should start at noon instead of 8 AM to allow those that wish to go to Church the time to do so. Otherwise, it was a very nice tour of Spain.

Spain wonders excels in expectations! Great tour. Wonderful experiences. Food on our tours was generally quite good. Walking tours were great! The tour guides were excellent. As was our driver!! The only thing I’d suggest is that a few amounts of free time - not just 10 minutes as was in this 12 day tour for shopping for souvenirs on the guided walks be added! All of our ladies on the walks were asking for this personal time!!

Review of Spanish Wonder. In our experience, the tour directors and coach drivers have all been excellent. This tour was a great way to see the highlights that Spain has to offer. Just an FYI....bus tours are not for everyone. The pace can be brutal, especially if you opt to do all optional tours (which we usually do). There is little time for relaxation or shopping :-) This was our 7th trip with Trafalgar. We have always been happy with them.

In general, the trip was excellent. The tour guide, *************, was great. This was our third Trafalgar trip. On the negative side we felt the schedule was a bit rushed. We only had an hour or two at Peniscola to enjoy the Mediterranean Sea/beach. (The Mediterranean should stand on its own as a major destination/experience, just as important or more so than Toledo, Cordoba, Valencia.) The worst part of the the trip was at beautiful, dramatic Montserrat, outside Barcelona, where our local guide essentially abandoned us outside the cathedral leading us to believe we could access the Black Madonna and the candle lighting area which was not the case. Both had to be accessed from outside the cathedral and by the time we found out (the local guide was nowhere to be found) we did not have time to stand in line to actually see the Black Madonna.

Trafalgar struck a home run again! We went on a Best of Italy tour in 2022. It was so excellent that when we decided to go to Spain in 2023, there was no question that we would use Trafalgar again -- and they did not disappoint! Our Travel Director, Ellen, was wonderful on our Spanish Wonder tour, taking a lot of the stress out of traveling by deftly handling the headaches of managing accommodations, transportation, local specialists, entry tickets, meals, etc. and providing information and insights and answering endless questions along the way. Unfortunately, in addition to her normal duties, she went above and beyond to assist many of us when we had an illness outbreak near the end. Already thinking of where Trafalgar can take us next year. It hit all the highlights and cities I wanted to see.

The itinerary was excellent. We enjoyed the many cities and historic sites that we visited. For the most part, the local experts were very good. Our tour director, Ellen, was very well-organized, patient and provided excellent information throughout our journey. We were disappointed that we could not visit the Alhambra due to NATO meetings and although this was outside of Trafalgar’s control, we did not consider the tour of the Albacin an equivalent substitute especially as we could not visit in parts of that area either. Also, the quality of two out of four included meals was disappointing. Overall though, it was a good experience. The coach was great as was the driver. The itinerary included many high points but an extra half day in Valencia would have been better-we didn’t even see the beach area. The hotels were quite good but some were a bit older and dated.

Perfect length and concentration. Well- run, as usual, even when stomach bug was going around. Director was excellent. Stayed on top of things.

************** kept everyone informed and amused. She helped calm me when I lost my credit card. Itinerary was great, but in the unprecedented heat wave (40 degrees) trekking about was a challenge. The old parts of the cities were not accessible to coaches and the walk to them was often far even before being guided through them. The coach was excellent. The hotels were good.

Spanish Wonder is a must. Trafalgar does a good job- itinerary, hotels, and excursions are all top rate. We covered a lot of ground and some amazing sights.
