- Reykjavik: What’s the weather like in summer? The climate in this region is unpredictable due to its geographical location. In shoulder season (May, September, and October) you can expect temperatures to vary between single digits and warm sunny days, while from June until September temperatures can reach up to 25 C (77 F) during the day with July being the warmest month. During summer, Iceland also regularly experiences 24 hours of daylight, so you can truly make the most of your sightseeing!

It is also recommended to bring along comfortable walking shoes, waterproof jacket & pants, sunscreen and a hat.

But you’ll have a higher chance of seeing them the further up north you go. (Fingers crossed...)

So good! Iceland in summer was stunning you have to go especially if you like nature. We had a fun and professional trip manager who put effort into making sure we all had a good experience, learnt about Iceland and got as many opportunities to see things as possible. We liked the lava museum (replaced the dairy farm due to high winds) as it taught us more about the landscape. The coach was super comfy and driver so lovely. I was in the twin share accommodation and each place I thought was really nice, if you are not used to hostels you may not be as thrilled but as far as hostels go these were excellent!! It was also wonderful having nearly everything organised for us. Overall the trip is expensive but considering how expensive Iceland it is I felt we got a great deal especially with some fancy dinners and great breaky buffets!! If only we could have an extra day or two to spread out some activities and time to get to know each other more. Also wish blue lagoon or another activity could be included in price. Anyway, still a 10/10:) THANK YOU so much!!!!! Booking experience was smooth including when my friend added me to her booking for twin share, was still able to access most of the info plus chat function by using a special code.

I had an amazing time on this trip! Our trip manager *Personal information removed by Feefo* was brilliant and very informative and our driver *Personal information removed by Feefo* was amazing and ensured we had the best experience possible. All of the accommodation was lovely, I loved the added experience of enjoying the hot tub at Midgard on the 2nd night. Having breakfasts included as well as 2 dinners was a great added detail for this trip as food in Iceland is very expensive! All of the included activities are amazing and *Personal information removed by Feefo* & *Personal information removed by Feefo* went out of their way to add in extras to our itinerary to make it even more memorable. I loved the glacier hike the best, it is definitely something to add on to your experience! I booked this trip through Gap360 as opposed to Contiki directly. However, Contiki were in touch regularly via email once booking and I could find lots of information in my account. I liked that there is the Chat function on the Contiki account, however it would be brilliant if there was an option to have notifications when someone put a new message in the chat!

The trip was excellent overall! The guide and the driver was very informative she added stops onto the trip that weren't even on the itinerary but her and the driver went out of their way to make sure we we got a lot out of the trip. The people on the tour I met were friendly, sociable and we were a small knit group so everyone got along with everyone it was the smallest I've had on a group tour ever. Iceland as a country exceeded my expectations: such a vast, beautiful country, albeit expensive.

I absolutely loved my trip. What made it very special was our Trip Manager *Personal information removed by Feefo*, and the fact that the itinerary felt balanced. I enjoyed our TM's company as he is knowledgeable about the destination, while he also answered to any other curious questions I had about the place (if he did not know the answer, he would look it up for me). His temperament was balanced: calm, positive, patient, and quickly adapting to situations and to the comfort and preferences of each traveller. On the other hand, unlike other trips that involved being exposed to an open bar almost every day, this one had access to activities that felt healthy and appropriate for all levels of physical conditions for each traveller. The itinerary focused on exactly what I was looking for. nature and beautiful landscapes. The only thing I would tweak is looking out more for appropriate weather conditions and making necessary changes to the itinerary if needed. We did that for one activity later in the trip which was a relieving call. Trip was super easy to book. Thank you Contiki for this unforgettable experience.

One of the greatest adventures I've had. Iceland is incredibly magical in its diversity and beauty. This tour is less of a 'party' contiki and more of a travellers adventure. Contiki made it so we were able to see all the sites and even some extra special ones. Prior to the trip I had tried looking at ways to do Iceland solo but it wouldn't have been possible to see everything we did. They kept us safe and ensured we had a great time. Definitely recommend to everyone. Brilliant.

This trip was the best Contiki I have been on. Very expensive but you go on holidays to spend not save money. Once in a lifetime experiences, walking on glaciers epic scenery and landscapes with abundance of waterfalls! Good FTA. Short and sweet. Mix of hostel and hotel stays. Our TM *Personal details removed by Feefo* was the best! Very knowledgeable showing us the best of Iceland!
