Day 1: Marrakesh

Our Moroccan exploration begins right here in its buzzing capital! We’ll pick you up at the airport and head straight to our hotel, where you’ll meet your new crew. You have the chance to get energised with a delicious lunch before we wander around for a tour of the city’s mosques, madrassas, squares and souks. Then, it’s back to our hotel for dinner.

Accommodation: Hotel El Andalous (or similar)

Day 2: Marrakesh to Tafraoute

Goood morning! After breakfast, we’ll hit the road to our next stop - passing by beautiful Berber towns along the way. With no time to waste, we’ll check into our hotel and head out for lunch. You’re welcome to tag along with us, or explore the local food scene on your own. After a quick bite, (if time permits) you can cool off with a swim before heading to our main show-stopper of the day. Welcome to paradise! Straight out of Game of Thrones, today we’ll explore these rocky cliffs that will leave you completely awe-struck. Expect trickling sounds of water, historical monuments, spectacular palm groves and flowering almond trees. Then it’s back to our hotel. But not before catching a glimpse of the iconic blue-painted rocks. Trust us, you’ve never seen anything like it before…

Accommodation: Hotel Amandiers (or similar)

Day 3: Tafraoute to Essaouira

This morning, we’ll drive along the Anti-Atlas mountains as we say goodbye to Tafraroute. You’ve got the Atlantic ocean on one side and historic Berber towns on the other. Soak in all the views while you can! Welcome to Morocco's hidden coastal gem! Straight away, we’ll head to the old Medina & get lunch at a local seafood shop by the harbour. Souks, cafes, terraces, fishing villages - there’s plenty to see here. But we reckon a cooking class will definitely grab your interest. End the evening chilling by the beach (drink in hand - possibly local mint tea!) that’s across the road from our hotel.

Accommodation: Hotel Miramar (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast

Day 4: Essaouira to Agafay Desert

It’s a DIY morning today, with plenty of time to explore the town at your pace. In the afternoon, we’ll make our way to a tranquil hidden gem in the wilderness of Morocco. The endless dusky red panorama in front of you isn’t your typical desert. It’s all rock! After we check into our luxurious tents, you’ll have the chance to cool off with a dip in the pool. Or even better - take a camel ride through the desert.

Accommodation: Terraces D'Agafay (or similar)
Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Day 5: Agafay Desert to Marrakesh

Noooo, it’s the last day already! Worry not, there’s one more included meal to feast on before we head back to the city where it all began. All good things come to an end. But there are plenty more good things on the horizon. (Like another epic adventure? Somewhere in Asia next time?). So bid your farewells, exchange your deets and hop on for an airport transfer!

It can also be attributed to the New Zealand slang 'Tiki-tour' describing taking a longer route to a destination in order to explore.[5]
