Our springboard to the spellbinding ancient trading history of Jordan is the white stone city of Amman, which you will have an opportunity to explore at your leisure after being transferred to your hotel from the airport. Meet your fellow travelers this evening for a Welcome Drink followed by dinner.

This morning, we embark on a city tour of Amman to see its Citadel, Archaeological Museum, Roman Amphitheater and Folklore Museum. Our next stop is to Iraq al-Amir where we’ll visit the Iraq al-Amir Women's Association for a MAKE TRAVEL MATTER® Experience. Learn first-hand how they make soap from olive oil and craft greeting cards and note books from recycled paper. Try your hand at making your own before enjoying a lunch prepared by the women. We continue to the ancient city of Jerash, a favorite city of the Roman emperor Hadrian and an important stop on the incense and spice trade route to the Mediterranean. Amble past its soaring Corinthian columns and view its almost intact city walls, before returning to the seven hills of Amman, where tonight we’ll Connect With Locals over an exclusive Be My Guest experience with the Khzouz family featuring a meal of Jordanian favorite dishes.

The enchanting rose-red façades of Petra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, beckon. Your journey continues on the fabled King’s Highway to visit Mount Nebo, one of the most revered holy sites of Jordan and the place where Moses is buried. You’ll see the Madaba Mosaic Map that covers the floor of the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George in Madaba and ascend to the Crusader Shobak Castle, perched on the side of a mountain. Arriving in Petra later, you’ll join a Bedouin tribe for a traditional dinner in their camp, under the clear night sky.

Mohammad &Trafalgar bring a wonderful tour of Jordan. Our guide Mohammad Qamheyeh and his knowledge, care & friendliness made this tour spectacular. Jordan is an amazing country but it was made even better by a knowledgeable person who helped navigate cultural and historical realities. Amir, who met us at the airport on arrival & departure also had a wealth of knowledge & was amazingly efficient. I loved the choice of locations especially the visit to Iraqi Al-Amir Women's co-op and the visit to a local Jordanian family. I'm looking forward to my next Trafalgar tour one day soon. I can't wait to visit Jordan again!! The facilities at Wadi Rum weren't as clean as I'd hoped.

Specifically request this guide and driver. You won't be sorry! Jordan is incredible and our trip was transcendent -- the food, the history, the culture, and of course, the sheer awesomeness of Petra and Wadi Rum. What made all the difference, however, was our guide Salah Khleifat and our driver Haytham Suboh, who were beyond professional and experienced. They were both a wealth of knowledge, extremely warm and generous of their time, completely devoted to our safety and enjoyment, and excellent company.

Every effort made to ensure a great holiday. My Best of Egypt Tour by Trafalgar was excellent, only marred by a couple of incidents involving hotel and restaurant staff. The company's service from their employees was beyond reproach - very helpful, very informative, cheerful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble and every effort was made to ensure I had an enjoyable and stress free holiday. The 2 incidents involved the laundry staff of the Hotel Heliopolis and the Sherlock Holmes Restaurant at the Ramses Hilton - both made dealing with them very difficult, with the end result being my paying the over the top bills just to not prolong the arguments. I would not recommend either of these entities. I was not terribly impressed with the Hotel Hyatt Zaman in Petra - it was like a rabbit warren....narrow stone paths , not well sign posted , and no cover of any sort for the inclement weather we experienced. Admittedly it does not rain often in Jordan but on the occasion that it does, the paths to the lower rooms are slippery with not even partial cover to access those rooms, making it a dangerous journey in the wet and dark. Also, the rooms were not up to 4* standard.

The 14 day tour of Turkey was better than expected. I was very impressed. Great itinerary. Tour director was fantastic. Accommodations were top notch for the areas visited. The 5 day Jordan experience tour was great in that it touched on the highlights of the country and made you feel like you want to go back and explore more of the country and culture.

Jordan Experience. My Jordan Experience was absolutely amazing. All of the tour contacts went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience available in a very foreign country. We were not on the list for our transfer upon arrival because we had to change our flights at the last minute. They made it work at the airport. It was middle of the night and no taxis. We were very fortunate. Jordan is just an incredible country. The people, the history - everything was so worth seeing. It's scary to plan for the middle east in today's climate but I am so glad I went! The itinerary was great, the guides were amazing. We were fortunate to get one of the very few females guides in the country and Raina was fantastic! The buses were not what I was use to but not bad at all. The hotel in Amman was not as centrally located as I would have liked but we did not have enough time or energy to really matter! The hotel in Petra was unique and while most rooms seemed to be good, our shower was horrible. They did fix the shower head, but it was just a very awkward angle that made it difficult to bathe. Otherwise, it was great. Again, not as central, but you are so exhausted, it doesn't really matter!

Having a Trafalgar representative meeting us at the airport and helping us with the Jordan visa during arrival, and having another Trafalgar representative meeting us at the airport after the shuttle dropped us off and he guided us before seeing us off at the Jordan. Passport Control were helpful. The itinerary was good but the tour director should give us more warning about walking on uneven grounds, such as in Jerash and the cobblestone in Petra.

Jordan through the Bedouin eyes. Trafalgar & Insight tours are always high standard - Both the Drivers & Guides are incredibly polite and readily assist their tourists, they are continually keeping everyone's safety & security paramount, as well as maintaining the Fun factor. Full & in depth tour of Jordan's history, religions and breathtaking sites - enhanced by the Driver & Guides cultural infusion Both the Driver & Guide treated us as Family - this was the BEST tour all round that I've been on.. Fun, Fascinating & Friendly Trafalgar & Insight tours are always high standard - just wish all tours were this enjoyable and heartwarming.

The Trafalgar trip was excellent. Our guide was very good and the hotels and meals were excellent. Our only complaint is Royal Jordanian Airline. We received an email from them before we left the States telling us that our flight time home was later in the morning than originally booked. Obviously, Trafalgar got the same information since we were sent to the airport at 8:00 with plenty of time for the 11 something flight. When we got to the airport, the ticket person said that the flight was not at 11 something but the original time. She told us we were too late but that she would give us boarding passes in case the flight was delayed. Fortunately, it was delayed and we made the flight. The aircraft was very comfortable and the meals good.

The service Trafalgar provided was excellent. We arrived in Amman at 2:30am and there was a Trafalgar agent waiting for us to provide assistance with visa and immigration/custom duties. The Trafalgar agent assisted us until we were in the shuttle. Our Travel Director Fuad was amazing, very knowledgeable and experienced. I only gave a four star rating as there is always room for improvement. This was not our first tour and experience with Trafalgar, we had previously toured Italy and Spain with them. We did notice with this Jordan Experience there was a couple of "extras" that was missing. With the previous two tours we did with Trafalgar, we always had a farewell dinner and a complimentary group photo from Trafalgar. Not sure why these two items were excluded from the Jordan Experience itinerary. A farewell dinner with the group and tour director would have been a nice ending to a wonderful vacation. In the past Trafalgar would also provide each family with a group photo, this was also not the case with this tour. All the hotels Trafalgar picked were great. The coaches were comfortable.

There’s no issues with Trafalgar on any level. They have a high standard and live up to it every time we travel with them. The only factor that changes is the country, and the scenery. They do their best. If you have concerns, they are more than willing to try to help find a solution. The one thing people have to remember is that when you travel, things are different, and that’s part of the experience and why we travel. Taps drip everywhere! Trafalgar is with you every step of the way to make things run as smooth as possible. It hits all the highlights, and then some local interest locations and experiences. You have a good feel for the country and its culture with this itinerary.

Excellent tours! My husband and I went on two back-to-back trips... Egypt and then Jordan. Both tour guides were excellent. Our guide in Egypt, Akram, went way beyond his duty in 2 ways. First, he bought a birthday cake and card for my husband who celebrated his 70th birthday while we were there. Everybody on our tour had a piece of cake and they all signed the card. It was wonderful! The second thing Akram did was arrange for me to get some jewelry in Cairo at a very reasonable price. He was also very knowledgeable and I could tell that he enjoyed sharing with the group. Our guide in Jordan, Ali, was also excellent. We had one lady in the group who kept going off on her own. Ali was very patient with her. She was annoying to the rest of the group! He was very kind and quite knowledgeable too. Excellent choices of things to see. The one complaint I do have is that we were told the extra excursion to the Dead Sea was not available. However, all but one other person in our group went there. So it was available. We really wanted to do that so we were quite disappointed when others got to go and we didn't.

Our trip to Egypt was very well organized. Great, expert tour director. Accommodations were excellent to very good. The tour was very well organized and we saw everything we could see in the time we had. Our tour director was truly expert in Egyptian history. HIs stories and descriptions were very interesting and thorough. Everything we wanted in a trip. Petra was an exceptional experience - what we wanted to visit Jordan for. Our tour director could have been a little better organized, but the attraction took care of itself for the most part.

Perfect Journey! Our trip was well paced with excellent hotels, and food. The tour guide was kind and gracious. Every detail was well thought-out and well planned. Our rest stops were timely, our meals were right in pace with the plan for the day. The intervals between walking, riding, relaxing and meals was never more than 3 hours. Our guide was well versed and entertaining very considerate and socially aware. We felt safe and well cared. Pace and interest of stops and sites, was perfect with travel times.

Dream trip! My mother Vijaylakshmi travelled to both Greece and Jordan on two separate trips one after the other. After last year's experience to Egypt , she was sure that she would be well looked after. The Greece sector was a wonderful experience. Knowledgeable Tour manager and all the arrangements. The Jordan experience was also amazing. She was able to fit in a trip to the Dead Sea on her own as she had a spare day.
